If the First Film did not Work, he Started Working in a Construction Company, Returning to Become Superstar
Yes friends, today I am trying to tell about a person you all know, Kung Fu Master Jackie Chan was born in 1954 in Hong Kong China. He then moved to Australia with his parents. The father worked as a head cook at American Embassy there. He loved watching his father cook. Jackie failed in the first year of primary school. After this, the father sent him back to Hong Kong and got him admitted to a boarding school. He did not feel like studying at all. He was very fond of martial arts acrobatics and music and wanted to pursue his career in that.
In school, he was
part of 'Seven Little Fortunes'. Which was the group of best students of the
school. It was from here that he started working in films. He was only 8 when he worked in films like 'The Love Etern' and 'Come Drink
with Me'. He then earned a black belt in martial arts and also learned karate,
judo, taekwondo. By the time he was 17, he started working
in films as a stuntman. He got a chance to work with Bruce Lee in 'Enter the
Dragon'. In 1973 he made his first film, which did not
earn much. In 1976, he started working as a construction
worker.
One day while working
he got a telegram. It was Willie Chan, who offered Jackie a film. He was
impressed by the stints of Jackie's previous films. The two made a film
together but that too did not work. Jackie continued to do odd jobs because of
his stunts. In 1978, the director of 'Snake in the Eagles
Shadow' gave him complete leeway to use his creativity and perform stunts in
his style. It was his first super hit film.
After 1981,
he did a few Bollywood films, but his films continued to flop. Now he found it
difficult to work on his own terms. They came back to Hong Kong. His 'The Young
Master' broke the records of Bruce Lee's film. He also started getting offers
from Bollywood. Rush Hour proved to be a big hit. After this, two consecutive
films flopped but they did not give up and started their own production house.
Recently he made 'Kung Fu Yoga' with actors of Indian origin. Jackie Chan has
also lent her voice in 'Kung Fu Panda'.
This lesson was learned from his life
Ø One
should keep learning continuously in life.
Ø There
should always be insistence on doing something different.
