Jim Carrey's full name is James Eugene Carey. He was born on 17 January 1962 in Ontario, Canada. The father's name is Percy Carrie and the mother's name is Kathleen Carrie. The father is a musician and was an accountant. He also has a sister of three elder brothers and a sister. At the young age of 10, Jim sent Carol Brunet his resume and wrote a letter stating that she was a great actor. Jim has always believed in himself. He struggled a lot to get work. When his father saw this, he organized a stage act for Jim and gave an opportunity to put his comedy in front of the world. The show took place in Toronto and Jim proved that he had the ability to become a professional entertainer by mimicking different people in the show. Jim then cameback on stage. In a very short time, they started doing paid shows instead of free shows. His reputation was increasing. The Toronto Star newspaper called Jim Carrey a rising star.

 A big change in Jim's life came when Rodney took him to Dangerfield Las Vegas. There Jim started performing at 'The Comedy Store'. They were now touching new heights. He was rejected here, but later in 1996 Jim hosted a TV show on the same stage. He also worked in The Duck Factory in 1984. He was a member of 'In Living Color' from 1990 to 1994. In 1984, he played the lead character in films such as 'S Ventura Pet Detective', 'The Mask' and 'Dumb and Dumber'. Dumb and Dumber proved to be a big hit worldwide. Jim also received his first Golden Global Award nomination for 'The Mask'.

 In 1995, in Batman Forever, Jim played Riddler. He also did Ventura's sequel 'Wayne Nature Calls' and it was also very successful. Then Ben Stiller's film The Cable Guy, released in 1996, was also a hit. In 1997, 'Lire-Lire' also achieved considerable success. In 1998, Jim played a serious character in 'The Truman Show' and then 'Man on the Moon' and proved himself to be a best actor. Even after this, he appeared to be acting in many superhit films

Jim also suffered from depression for a long time. He ate medicine for years but eventually he stopped taking the medicine and started battling depression alone without any help.
