Prepared after Taking Money on Interest, Farmer's Son got Success in UPSC
The financial crisis
could not become an obstacle in the path of Veer Pratap Singh Raghav, who was
successful in the Civil Services 2018 examination of the Union Public Service
Commission (UPSC). He had to study by borrowing money on interest. After the
success of hard work in the prestigious examination of the country, all the
pains taken during the preparation were eradicated.
Where there is a will,
there is a way. This has been proved by Veer Pratap Singh Raghav who has been
successful in UPSC Civil Services 2018 examination. The 'Kisan Putra' of
Bulandshahr succeeded in this prestigious examination of the Union Public
Service Commission (UPSC) after many struggles. Veer Pratap got 92nd rank in
the results declared in April this year. The cadre has not been divided yet.
However, due to good rank, Raghav is confident that he will be selected in the
IAS. Raghav wrote a post on social media on August 1 on his struggle story to
motivate the youth, who get frustrated many times due to lack of resources due
to poor financial condition. On this post, many people gave their courage. Veer
Pratap Singh says that there is no short cut to success. Success is achieved by
being fully focused on the goal.
Studying with money on interest
Raghav's father, who
lives in Dalpatpur village in Bulandshahar, did not have enough money to teach
on his own. The father prepared the son by taking money from a person at an
interest of three percent per month. Veer Pratap said that he succeeded in this
prestigious examination in the third attempt. Earlier in 2016 and 2017, he also
took the exam. Raghav, who did B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from Aligarh
Muslim University in 2015, took Philosophy as an elective.
The special thing is
that in the results of the 2018 main examination, Raghav of Engineering
background was second in terms of bringing the highest score in philosophy. He
got 306 marks out of total 500 in Philosophy. Raghav's elder brother also had a
dream to become an IAS. But due to the economic crisis, he had to leave
preparations in the middle and do the job of CRPF. Raghav says that during
preparation his elder brother also gave guidance.
Schools used to walk 5 km to study for 5th
Raghav had to
struggle since childhood. He completed his studies up to fifth by walking five
km from home. In the absence of a bridge, he had to cross the river and go to
school. Veerapratap Singh received his primary education from Arya Samaj School,
Karora and classes six to high school from Surajbhan Saraswati Vidya Mandir
Shikarpur. Raghav wrote about his struggles on Facebook, writing, "I have
read a lot of success stories. I also share my story today. We know that most
civil servants come from the elite class. But there are many, Those who come
out of the villages have a lot of struggle.
